Short Term Disability Maternity Question About Short Term Disability & Maternity Leave?

Question about Short Term Disability & Maternity Leave? - short term disability maternity

So, I work for a small company (5 employees) and currently do not allow short-term disability. I am always interested in how my husband and I intend to get pregnant in the coming months. I have raised the question of our company meeting this morning and told me to check an e-mail to the owner. His e-mail is a black hole of nothingness, do not expect to do something. So I began to fill the entire "Get some things" quote on the website to send them to me. What I need from you some information and opinions that do business not / do not offer:

1) The coverage of maternity
2) What% of income
3) How long? (Normal 6 weeks, 8 c-section?)
4) How long will it take before you rest assured
5) is that through their business or personal .. and if you tell me how that would be great

And for all insurance agents who can read this, we are in Pennsylvania and looking for a reasonable estimate, you can be can offer.

Most offer maternity twice as fast, but with a minimum of 20 employees. You can not motherhood with a small group.

Percentage of income, depending on the state, usually 60% or 70%. The deadline varies. Remember, most are not maternity leave, disability history - is a normal process.

Private disability insurance, you will need at least a year before they become pregnant, is that covered the pregnancy - is actually a map of pre-and you can do the same thing themselves.

I am an officer, I have three children and I never had a paid maternity leave or disability insurance to cover short-term pregnancy.

Chances are, you have to pay $ 200 a month or two, until there is enough in the kitty to cover the shortfall in revenue to the anticipated absence of three months.
